A Slice of Temptation

Description

It was getting worse.
Well, the symptoms at least; they were progressively growing more and more dismal every second in several small ways that definitely had a negative impact, but all the same, a little bit of positivity shone through. The lack of Lao Mang Lone consumption was slowly beginning to manifest physically on Aeris’s body; the dragon sigil that had etched itself onto her back had begun to spread like a disease, several other markings bleeding through the flesh on her bones. Though completely against her will, she now possessed several dragons on her skin, including her arm and torso. Each one was unique; no dragons were the same, no design shared any similarities, and even though she persisted in her attempt to harvest the information, Chase refused to tell her why.
The markings represented the dragons that she would soon learn to kill, learn to butcher for the broth that kept her life so sweet, which kept her seeing straight. So far, only four dragons had appeared and they never shown any signs of blossoming until they were there, but that would mean she’d kill at least four dragons. That would set up the soup for a good thousand years, but wouldn’t make any difference if she didn’t begin to drink it again now. But her stubbornness was becoming almost tiring; no matter how dark she grew, how harsh her laugh became, she couldn’t give herself into the Heylin way completely. She would not slaughter a dragon.

“Are you ready to relinquish yourself from the light yet?”
Aeris looked up from where she sat on the stone floor, blinking her beautiful blue eyes. They hadn’t returned to their original colour even though her sight had, but he didn’t care. They were still pleasing to look at.
“Mm, not quite,” came a purr of a reply, in a voice that was both familiar and alien. It dripped with a lust she didn’t originally possess, a darkness that sent shivers through his spine that brought on the most pleasing chill. “No matter what darkness is managing to crawl its way through my veins, my love, I have been a friend of the dragons for far too long to just turn my back on them now.”
He smirked and walked up to her, crouching down so his eyes were on level with hers. Usually when he did this she wouldn’t notice until he spoke, and by then, she’d be so surprised she stagger back, or fall, or something equally as amusing. But now, now, she could grin right back, eyes on his, sharp teeth bared in his own signature smirk. Oh, such a pretty little thing she was. He brushed his thumb along her chin gently and then tilted it up, showing the collar that was clasped around her throat, connected to the wall by a long chain. Unfortunately, these were precautions he had to take; she was running so low on her own supply of soup that he knew that she would happily tear his home to pieces to get to his. And he couldn’t let her do that. A good predator knows its children must learn to hunt without their support, and whilst Aeris was far from his child, he knew that the same principle applied. The second she begged to be released, to go make her own broth … only then he would release her. But for now, she remained under lock and key, left in the caverns below with all she required to survive … except, of course, what she was craving.
“So,” Chase said smoothly, after yet another attempt from her to pull away from her chains. “How are you enjoying yourself thus far?” He watched with glee as his eyes flickered to the gourd tied to his belt, then one she knew contained her craving. “Surely you must be close to breaking by now?”
“Butcher a dragon for me and I will happily surrender myself to you!”
He laughed, standing up and watching as she slumped slightly. It was a simple matter of time. She’d break soon and he could release her from the caverns. There were far better places she could be, of course, places where she’d be of much more use. His bedroom, the first that came to mind. It was a bitter realisation, he knew, that he finally had her on his side after almost 1,500 years of fierce struggling, and yet she still couldn’t be his because of this relentless resistance. It was infuriating, enraging, even. He was surprised that he hadn’t lost his temper yet, and was equally surprised she hadn’t lashed out, but even so … she was slowly falling into his clutches.
“You’re looking much better today,” he said slowly, tilting her chin so she looked up at him and away from the gourd. “Less … scaly.”
“Mm, don’t deny that it didn’t do something for you, my love.”
He laughed as she slowly stood up, the chains straining slightly. His gloved hand stroked her arm, watching as it erupted in goosepimples, ones that had nothing whatsoever to do with the cold.
“Who said I was going to deny it?”
“You deny everything else, I simply assumed that this was part of your transition from stone-hearted monster to finally letting me out of these chains,” She spoke oddly fast, like the quicker she spoke her words, the higher the chance of him releasing her would be. An utter folly, of course. Only one thing would prompt him to release her and that was to kill a dragon.
“You’re not leaving those chains until you restock,” he smirked, watching as she ran her hands up the front of his armour. Ah, so it had begun; Aeris had learned to an almost unprecedented level that when she couldn’t get what she wanted through use of violence, she’d be able to use the weapons that she hadn’t obtained from an arsenal; herself. So far, her advances had been severely ineffective and Chase would have his few minutes’ fun before stopping her, but today he felt like a little more intimacy. He let her back him against the wall, let her attempt to seduce him with her sweet words, eventually returning the kiss she pushed to his mouth. Oh, her kiss, how he’d missed it so; he stroked his fingers through her hair gently, tilting her face up against his. He let her think he’d become entwined and then grabbed her wrist just as it slipped down to seize his gourd, his mouth breaking apart from hers.
“… Is that the best you can do?” he murmured softly, watching as her eyes flickered down to her wrist, which was beginning to bruise under his grip. She let out a soft groan and let the gourd drop back to swing by his hip, then looked back up at him.
“Let me drink.”
“Get your own.”
“Then be a darling and fetch my ingredients.”
He grinned, showing off those serpentine teeth once more, and pressed a kiss to the corner of her mouth.
“My dear, sweet Aeris,” he murmured, adjusting the cuff on her throat so it didn’t catch. “You will rot down here until you take up my mantel. The sooner you do, the sooner you will receive everything you’ve ever wanted.” He pressed his lips to her ear. “A warm bed, a hot, blood-filled body by your side, all the food and drink you could wish for. You could have everything you have ever wanted and I will serve it to you on silver if that is your wish. But you have to join me first.”
He stepped away and watched her falter, her face crumbling slightly as he pulled the gourd off of his hip and pulled away the cork, taking a deep drought of the soup inside. He could almost see her salivate, see how desperate, how feral she suddenly became. She was a creature now, not a woman. She’d fallen so far from the pure, angelic human she had been just this time last year and he’d made her do it herself. He’d taken the Xiaolin White Knight and he’d dragged her down to his level and even chained her up in his cellar. She was his now, soup or none, and that was all he was going to take from the situation. He’d won. The only way he could achieve any more victory was if she gave in, and he knew it wouldn’t be too long until she agreed -
”I’ll kill the bloody dragon."

Sort of addicted to sexy, evil Aeris right now. Sorry the snippet isn't so well written, I am just really not in the writing mood. Too busy with Supernatural. :3
I hope you like, and I need to stop with fake screenshots, but...with backgrounds like that? No way. I like that background. I am proud of that rock, man. I found the dragon tattoo designs by just googling, and I am far, far too tired to find them right now. It isn't hard to find, they're one of the first designs you get. I love you all.
Enjoy some sexy Chaeris.
